Cathy Fuchs
C.L.U., C.H.F.C., C.F.S.B.

Cathy’s career began in 1980 as a group underwriter with a major Canadian insurer. 25 plus years of experience encompasses specialist roles in disability insurance and senior group benefit consulting positions.

Her depth and breadth of knowledge has been recognized in her designation as Chartered Life Underwriter (C.L.U.) and Chartered Financial Consultant (C.H.F.C.). Cathy also serves on a number of boards and is part of the planning team for the Group Insurance and Pharmaceutical Committee (GIPC). This committee serves as a joint educational initiative for the pharmaceutical and group insurance industries.  GIPC sponsors workshops for the various stakeholders to tackle challenging pharmaceutical topics such as emerging cancer therapies and other high cost biologics, navigation of provincial health systems, mental health and workplace wellness.

Cathy’s driving passion to provide clients a more personalized and in-depth approach to benefits consulting led to the formation of Fuchs & Associates Insurance Agency in 1990, and then the name change to White Willow in May of 2003, to better reflect the company’s call to action of “come under our care”. Her vision embraces an expanded range of services and specialists, each dedicated to providing a higher standard of service for all clientele.

When Cathy is not in the office, she enjoys the country life with Chris and son Jesse. She also is active with HATN, (Hands Across the Nations) a grass roots organization committed to improving the health and economic circumstances in the poorest communities in the world. Cathy’s service to HATN includes serving on the board of directors and member of a volunteer team that travels to Mali, West Africa.

Chris Fuchs

Chris also started his career in 1980, working as a life insurance advisor with a major Canadian insurer. His early success in the business has been recognized with numerous sales awards from the industry.

In 1987 Chris sought out an opportunity to join an entrepreneurial venture with a start up Software Company which provided financial planning and post retirement applications to banking, insurance, mutual fund and trust companies.

The company’s outstanding success resulted in the purchase by IBM in 1997, at which time he joined Fuchs and Associates.

Chris enjoys family life with Cathy and Jesse, the dog (Cooler), trivia, travel and old movies. Along with Cathy, he globally gives back to communities through HATN (Hands Across the Nations).

Scott Macaulay

Scott joined White Willow in 2007 to provide an improved level of service to our clients and to help offer more strategic support on critical benefit issues. He brings a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to the position through his Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo; and his 25 plus years of experience in the Insurance industry.

His work experience includes Director of Special Risks at Citadel Assurance, Central Regional Manager at Liberty Health and Senior Consultant at a national benefits outsourcing firm in charge of managing service teams in the benefits administration division for employers with 2,000 to 12,000 employees.

Scott enjoys a great family life in the Stouffville area and is constantly striving to improve his golf game. He is committed to giving back to the community through his long term involvement as a member of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers & Sisters of York.
